The Generous Herbalist's Year II

There are sacred places on earth; you only need to reach them and let yourself be enchanted. Herbs grow here and the wind whispers, springs of clear water sparkle, the sun shines, and the shade invites you to rest. You can stretch out on the green grass, close your eyes, and be with yourself for a while. Surrounded by joy, which materialises in birdsong and the bell tower on the hill. There are places like these that teach us, heal us, and bring us to ourselves. It is as if we grasp our whole essence here, straighten ourselves from the ground up, and nourish our roots. Just as our ancestors wisely did, woven into the moments of the flowing day.

Let us wander together along herbal paths, with a basket full of fragrant remedies, let us make an ointment, a healing tincture, and brew a restorative syrup in the morning. Let us flow slowly in the thrall of nature, for it is wise, giving, kind, and for us. Let us learn to read the legacy of our ancestors again, to understand the laws of birth and silence, to nurture fairy tales, customs, and traditions within ourselves, for they are our essence, our core, and our path. A path that will lead us to the threshold of a beloved home, to a cleanly set table, to hands that caress. Into gardens where mint blooms, blue cornflower, and purple mallow, where it rings with song and love for all that is good.

Let us close the gate and journey on, into the meadows and forests, groves and glades, through another bountiful herbalist's year, once again filled with discovery and scents.
