The book guides the reader towards a quick diagnosis and, in cases of unclear differential diagnosis, towards the correct orientation in the relevant special monograph. It is structured according to individual clinical units with an effort for maximum possible brevity and clarity. At the beginning of each disease section, there is a diagnostic “key” with basic information about the given illness. This is followed by neuroradiological information, prevailing findings from magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography examinations, or imaging results, clinical data, and differential diagnosis. The image section is for illustrative purposes only, featuring outputs from various devices and different time periods. Case studies are provided for individual diagnoses, varying in scope depending on the available medical documentation.
This publication is intended for doctors dealing with diseases of the head and brain, i.e., radiologists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, oncologists, otorhinolaryngologists, ophthalmologists, and also medical students.
