Audiobook The Mystery of the Marwick House, by Darcy Coates, read by Václav Knop.
Haunted Houses #5
I live next to a haunted house. I began to suspect something was wrong with the gothic house when his family fled in the middle of the night, the children screaming and the mother crying. They never came back to take the furniture. No family stays there for long. Animals avoid the place. Once I thought I saw a female silhouette walking through one of the rooms on the top floor... but that was impossible - no one was living there at the time. The new owner, Anna, has just moved into the house. I visited her to warn her about the building. I didn't expect us to become friends, but fate had it otherwise. Now that the Marwick house is waking up, she asked me to stay the night. I never planned on getting involved with the building or its vengeful, dead occupant. But now I have to save Anna... before it's too late for both of us.
