The Noble Path

Will father and daughter find their way to each other in the middle of Cambodian hell?

Jack Elliot is a complex man with a colourful past who makes a successful living as a cold-blooded mercenary. In 1978, when he is tasked with rescuing the family of a wealthy Cambodian refugee from the captivity of the dreaded Khmer Rouge, he travels to Thailand and begins to prepare for another risky mission with his usual care and calm. What he doesn't know is that his almost grown-up daughter, who never knew her father and thought him dead, is looking for him, or that the notorious Irish Republican Army killers are after him and want to take his life for a change. Which of them will finally manage to escape the dangerous jungle? And what price will they pay for it?

This early work by the world-famous bestselling author does not lack the usual level of suspense, but surprises with the depth and timelessness of the themes discussed.
