The way to another place

The story of The Journey Elsewhere is pieced together from fragments of my memories, overheard moments, connected by the resin of my imagination and fantasy. If some events did not happen, then believe that they could have happened. Some of the characters in this story have been in my life, and if they had met together, they might have created this story. In short, anything could happen. If that didn't happen...

For me, Šumava became something concrete at the age of six, when my father built a holiday cottage on the shores of Lake Lipno. Back then it was an almost uninhabited world, with vanishing remnants of the original settlement. Although the number of holidaymakers was slowly increasing, parts of Šumava were deserted.
One could go on expeditions to beautiful forests, but one also encountered the presence of an impenetrable iron curtain. From time to time you could hear gunfire from the border, as a boy I heard various stories, some of which I experienced myself. My scouting and, after the ban on scouting, camping years were also spent in the beautiful forests of the Šumava and Novohradské hory mountains. All this connected has marked me for life.
