The Weight of Unspoken Words

Three months have passed since that fateful evening on the bathroom floor – the moment Lily found her older sister with a razor blade to her wrist. Since then, for her own sake and for her family’s, Lily has been desperately trying to get back to her old life as a well-behaved student, daughter, and sister. But when Alice returns home from treatment, all the long-suppressed feelings slowly begin to overwhelm Lily.

Micah, a new student with a difficult past, arrives at Ridgelin High School. He was in treatment with Alice and now seems determined to help Lily cope not only with Alice’s experience but also with her own. Because Lily has secrets of her own. Compulsive episodes that she can't get rid of on her own, and a mind overwhelmed with burdensome thoughts.

As Lily and Micah work on a school project, searching for artistic inspiration in the most unusual places, she realises that she has been holding back words that are now fighting to come to the surface.
