Theoretical and methodological foundations for the creation of modern regional development strategie
This professional publication offers a current perspective on the theory and practice of regional development in the Czech Republic. It focuses on the spatial dimension, organisation, and support of economic and social development from the viewpoint of both regional policy and the teaching of regional economics and administration as an independent field. The research findings are also applicable in the field of project management at economics-focused universities. The author presents an overview of selected theories of regional development, which build on macroeconomic concepts and expand on their practical application. The introductory chapter offers brief commentaries on the theoretical foundations and the issues surrounding the preparation and implementation of regional development projects.
