Thorned curse

When the goddess Flora granted the people of Plantae the ability to grow and control plants with the sheer power of their will, it was a blessing. But now, nature has begun to wither. The water is disappearing, the forests are vanishing, and the soil is no longer fertile. And the conflict between the provinces is beginning to escalate. While the Food Growers of the East and the Perfumers of the South bask in the light of royal favour, the Soldiers of the West and the Poisoners and Healers of the North are on the fringes of society. Eighteen-year-old Convallaria Leroy wants to become a Poisoner. But they have been persecuted ever since the failed assassination attempt on the king. Although she tries to keep a low profile, she is found guilty of reading books and is dragged to the capital city of Flos to be executed. She is saved from death by a secret deal with the Governor of the West, with whom she begins a search for answers to questions that keep many people awake at night. What do the unexplored places of the Flos palace hide? Why has the goddess Flora fallen silent? Can Plantae be saved from the impending disaster? Will a quiet and impenetrable girl be a mere pawn in the merciless game of fate, or will she take it into her own hands?
