To life and death

Private „ eye“ Kira Vance spends her days gathering evidence for her clients – defendants and plaintiffs in lawsuits – and is well-versed in the complex labyrinth of Houston's legal world.

She just decided to stop by to see her older „ partner“ and mentor Ollie, who discusses the latest case with his top client Brock Logan, a wealthy law firm owner. But everything goes wrong, a disguised killer arrives at the house shortly after Kira – and the result is Ollie dead and the lawyer shot.

Kira, independent young woman, completely penniless at the time, to be paid by her dead partner, gets a job offer from Brock Logan, which is not refused. Firstly, it is a large sum of money and then it means continuing the work that her beloved Ollie started. Obviously deadly. Brock Logan hires a security agency, the best in the business, and Kira has to accept the fact that she'll have security guards by her side day and night. Jeremy, an ex-Marine who doesn't talk much but who hates injustice and injustice from the bottom of his heart, is put in charge.

Although Kira is not at all comfortable with someone constantly getting in the way of her private investigations, she is more than comfortable with Jeremy's presence. And Jeremy can't take his eyes off her. Things are sparking between the two, but when another innocent person dies, it's clear that all must be put aside and the fight begins. To life and death.
