The eagerly awaited return to the dark world of the Faelan series
Ilan awoke the swords and took by force what the glassmakers had always craved. Freedom.
But this freedom was taken from the several warriors she led with her into the underground, although they are certainly not welcome guests there. Many tasks and obstacles await Ilan.
First of all, however, she must convince her men to follow her, or at least walk beside her on the path she has chosen. To the places where cities and beating gates once arose. To places where no human foot has stepped for long ages. To places where a long-forgotten history lies, a history it would be better never to know. Ilan realises that she cannot manage any of it without the warriors. Especially without one who resists her choices the most.
What they wrote about the book:
The trump card is the fact that the series is constantly evolving and changing its face; it simply grows with the main character. The author doesn't mess around with the characters, murdering them by the dozen, and isn't afraid to drag them through the mud and turn even the good guys into morally grey, ambiguous beings with dark secrets.
- Pevnost
A truly well-thought-out and carefully constructed story from a dystopian, post-apocalyptic world, written in a refined, neologism-rich, yet readable language. By Czech standards, this is a phenomenal achievement that can easily compare with international works.

Petra Stehlíková
(b. 1976) graduated from a secondary medical school, majoring in medical laboratory science. She has had several jobs, most recently working as a hotel receptionist. She initially self-published her books (e.g., the Born from the Ashes trilogy). In 2016, Host published her novel Faelan (Naslouchač), which was met with a very positive reception. Its sequels, Faja (2017) and Nasterea (2021), received equally enthusiastic reader acclaim. All three titles were subsequently released as audiobooks and immediately became bestsellers in their genre. Urla is the fourth instalment of a planned pentalogy.
