Valley of Dreams

The year is 1935. Bella Porter is scraping by under the thumb of her calculating cousin, Thomas. When fortune smiles on her and she unexpectedly inherits a house in Lancashire, her relative shamelessly tries to deprive her of her property. But she defies him and finds the courage to become independent.

However, it is not at all easy. The old house is in a poor neighbourhood and the fraudulent administrator, Welch, has rented the whole thing out as flats. Kind people help Bella get on her own two feet, and her self-confidence slowly grows. And when she meets Ryan, she even begins to hope that she might have the family she has always dreamed of.

But neither Thomas nor Welch are willing to simply accept that anyone – let alone a woman – would dare to defy them. Not only is Bella's newfound happiness at stake, but her very life. Will she succeed in defending her right to happiness and finally achieve her dream?
