In the eighth episode of the Q detective series, the author reveals Assad's troubled past

A refugee body is found on the shores of the Mediterranean. The newspaper writes of him as "Sacrifice 2117" and his death causes a series of unexpected events that will bring Assad to the brink of collapse. Jussi Adler-Olsen (b. 1950) studied political science and film science. He worked as a journalist, editor and publisher. In the Czech Republic, he is best known for his series of crime novels about the Copenhagen Police Department Q, the first four of which have been filmed and screened in Czech cinemas. A distinctive sense of humor, insight and irony is a hallmark of the author's style and undoubtedly one of the reasons for the huge international success of his books. He also used this talent in his latest story, The Little Spicy Murder, which was originally published in the collection of detective stories Liv for liv (Life for Life, 2011).
