William Shakespeare: Hamlet (2001)

The new audio Hamlet is based on Martin Hilský's witty, almost playful translation. The director Markéta Jahodová went to the extreme in economy. He uses real scenic sounds only minimally (bells and crows cawing in the cemetery, the sound of a hoe and shovel), more often he stylizes them (the sea surf, the wind, the clinking of guns). Most of all, however, he relies on the artistic resources of his collaborators, among whom we should mention the composer of the music, Vladimír Franz.
