Wi-Fi 5 Wireless Connectivity
The device distributes the wireless signal across two separate bands with a total throughput of up to 1,167Mbps. The 2.4GHz band, with speeds up to 300Mbps, is used for everyday activities, while the 5GHz band, with speeds up to 867Mbps, handles more demanding operations. MU-MIMO technology allows for simultaneous communication with multiple client devices at once. The integrated Beamforming function locates connected receivers and transmits a targeted signal directly to them. Data transmission is protected by WPA and WPA2 encryption standards, which prevent unauthorised access to the internal network. The hardware WPS button on the back of the device allows for quick device connection. Administrators can activate an isolated guest network to protect private data on the main network. Parental controls offer tools for creating user profiles, setting time limits, and blocking selected websites.
Operating Modes and Connectivity
This network element supports multiple operating modes, allowing it to function as a classic router, a standalone access point, or a repeater for an existing signal. The hardware platform relies on 128MB of RAM and 32MB of flash storage. Quick configuration is facilitated by the MERCUSYS mobile app for Android and iOS phones. The system supports the IPv6 internet protocol and IGMP Proxy and Snooping functions for smooth IPTV transmission. Physical connection to the surrounding network is provided by 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports. There is one dedicated WAN port for internet input and two LAN ports for connecting end devices by cable.
