The Newland FM430 Barracuda, 1280x800 CMOS, white LED, 1D/2D, RS-232, IP54 is a Laser barcode scanner. In other words, it uses laser beam reflection to read the data. An advantage of this technology is its resistance to damage and the option to track where the laser is pointing . The device can read 1D and 2D barcodes, i.e. classic barcodes used to label consumer goods, The device can handle 1D and 2D codes, i.e. not only standard barcodes, but also QR or Data Matrix codes, with a speed of 60 scans/s scans per second.
