The lens allows you to easily change the manual focus direction when using the focus ring. It can also use the same 62mm screw-on filters as the proven AF-S Micro-NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED. A comprehensive set of seals around the bayonet and all moving parts protects the lens from dust and moisture ingress. Nikon's fluorine coating on the front optical element repels water, dust and dirt.
