The Nintendo 3DS XL brings the popular plumber Mario to a portable game console with the largest display yet. Compared to the original model, both screens are now noticeably larger and offer even more fun! The 4.88" main screen is capable of displaying stereoscopic 3D images without the help of 3D glasses. Meanwhile, the bottom 4.18" touchscreen provides extra control options.

What else has changed?

Its larger display requires a larger body, comfortably accommodating an even more powerful battery. This means the Nintendo 3DS XL has a longer battery life compared to the standard model. A single charge lasts for 3.5 to 6.5 hours, which is about 30 to 90 minutes longer than in the original version.

Looks better, works better, plays better!

The body is now slightly larger, but the screen occupies a larger percentage of the console surface. Nintendo has also listened to the users and changed the impractical glossy finish into matte. As a result, you can say goodbye to the annoying fingerprints on your handheld. Another new detail are its rounded corners, which make the device more comfortable to hold. The telescopic stylus has been replaced by a 96 mm one that suits the specific control demands of the Nintendo 3DS XL more accurately.

Fun and all the other features remain unchanged from the 3DS, so you can enjoy great stereoscopic games, as well as all your favourite Nintendo DS titles in the Classic view. The supplied Secure Digital memory card has also been beefed up to 4 GB.
