The recipe is based on a high proportion of protein from chicken meat, important for proper muscle and tissue development, and potatoes, which are the best source of carbohydrates after cooking. The food is low in cereals, it does not contain wheat or corn, the only cereal is rice. The balanced composition supports the healthy functioning and development of the whole organism. Chondroprotectants and fish oil ensure healthy development of the musculoskeletal system and joints. A special mix of herbs and spices, especially rosemary and cinnamon, supports natural immunity and has an antibacterial effect.
Quality protein and gentle energy sources for sensitive digestion
Chicken meat is high in complete protein, easy to digest, low in fat and cholesterol. It contains many minerals and comes from controlled sources intended for human consumption. The main source of carbohydrates is extruded potatoes. In the raw state they are indigestible for the dog, but when heat treated (extrusion) the potato starch is divided into a digestible part (source of energy) and an indigestible part (source of fibre). The fibre from potatoes is very fine, perfectly cleanses the intestine, including the villi, and serves as nutrition for positive intestinal microflora. Another source of carbohydrates is rice, which is easily digestible and suitable for sensitive dogs with grain allergies. Feed does not contain wheat, corn, soy or other cereals– referred to as LOW-GRAIN, i.e. low-grain, where the only grain is rice.
Feeding instructions for Ontario Puppy & Junior Large Chicken & Potatoes
Feed dry or slightly moistened. Always ensure that your dog has plenty of fresh, drinkable water. Daily nutritional requirements may vary depending on the environment, size, age and activity of the dog. Recommended daily dosage - see feed table. For proper condition, give the animal plenty of exercise and do not overfeed it.
