Pevný disk Seagate Cheetah 15K.4 146.8GB SAS

Modern and very powerful 3.5-inch hard drive designed for the SAS (Serial Attached SCSI).Is perfectly suited for servers and workstations because of their reliability and speed. It has a capacity of 146.8 GB and is equipped with a buffer size of 8 MB.In addition, has an average access time of 3.5 ms, which allows the use disk for demanding tasks such as working with video, audio, or for playing games. The plates rotate speed of 15 000 revolutions per minute and minimal noise ensure fluid bearings. The support of S.M.A.R.T.technology.

SAS is the innovative generation of the SCSI increasing the performance of the repository systems and improving their availability. It extends the functions of parallel SCSI hard drives and one of the main advantages of this technology is the integration of 3.5-inch SAS units with Serial ATA drives in a single device. To connect the disk to use the same cables and connectors, as the discs with a Serial ATA interface. This option offers exceptional flexibility and scalability.Full-duplex architecture ensure that the data storage equipment supplied to the host system at the same time, when the host system sends commands to other storage facilities.Dual-port architecture allows easy integration type of fail-over.Host systems and storage are accompanied by two channels and data are constantly available in the event of a failure of some of the components.Other benefits such asdata integrity, reliability and the possibility to connect to 16256 discs in one domain.Discs with this interface find, for examplevysokotransakčních in the database and applications for highly available data, but also for archiving data or backups.
