OptimalTEMP technology

OptimalTemp technology guarantees that you won't burn any fabric. You can steam and iron all types of ironable fabrics—from silk and linen to cashmere—without spending time sorting them into piles according to the type of material. OptimalTemp also allows you to leave the hot iron directly on the cotton surface of the ironing board or clothing—without fear of damage. This also reduces wrist strain as it is not necessary to repeatedly lift the iron from its base.

Extremely powerful steaming

With a steam boost of up to 400g, even the most stubborn creases succumb in an instant. Continuous steam output of up to 120g/min guarantees excellent results when steaming clothes and curtains vertically. The Philips PerfectCare Compact iron weighs 1.2 kg and is therefore very easy to handle. It glides like a dream across all fabrics while removing the toughest creases. The ultra-low weight makes vertical steaming easy, fast and efficient without causing unnecessary strain on your wrist.

All ironable substances

You can steam and iron all types of ironable fabrics without the risk of burning them. The Philips PerfectCare 9000 quickly and efficiently smooths out creases from hard-wearing jeans and other tough fabrics through to delicate clothing, such as silk blouses and cashmere sweaters. It is also no problem to iron garments with attachments, such as buttons and buckles.

SteamGlide soleplate

The SteamGlide soleplate is scratch-resistant, non-stick and glides smoothly on fabrics. It is also very quick and easy to clean.

Automatic shut-off and ECO mode

The automatic shut-off function switches off the steam generator after a few minutes if left unused. This saves energy but also brings you peace of mind. ECO mode reduces power consumption for clothes that require less steam, so you save energy but still enjoy the same high-quality results. This product boasts the Philips GreenLogo—a sign that indicates to customers an environmental improvement in energy efficiency, packaging, hazardous substances, weight, recycling and disposal or lifetime reliability.

1.5-litre water tank

With a 1.5-litre capacity, you can iron and steam clothes continuously for up to one and a half hours without refilling. When the water tank is empty, an indicator light will give you a gentle nudge. The transparent tank is simple to remove and easy to refill thanks to the large filling door.

Carry lock

The steam generator features a safety carry lock that secures the iron to the base station for easy transport and to reduce the risk of accidentally touching the hot soleplate.

Smart Calc Clean system

Regular descaling protects your iron while maintaining powerful steam performance. The Smart Calc Clean system is a built-in cleaning and descaling function that extends the life of your iron. An indicator light and audible signal inform you when it is time for emptying. Simply place the iron in the Smart Calc Clean container and the limescale and dirty water will collectin about two minutes.
