The Pioneer PD-50 SACD player is built to achieve truly authentic audio and features a rigid sub-chassis and an aluminium front panel, which includes a separate shield and dual transformer. The shield protects the signal board and the single signal paths are as short as possible. The Auto Level Control modifies the differences in volume between songs.

This player is compatible with the DSD format (Direct Stream Digital) for storing high-quality, SACD recordings in high definition. You can connect your iPod, iPhone or iPad and enjoy the player's fantastic audio quality, while your iPod, iPhone, or iPad charges. The front USB input also enables quick and convenient access to your music folders that are stored on USB (MP3, WMA, AAC, MPEG-4, DSD). Sound Retriever simultaneously restores the dynamics and range that are lost during compression.

The Pioneer PD-50 delivers uncompromising audio quality under Pioneer's "PureAudio" philosophy, which focuses on the most responsive and open nature of sound and is inspired by recording studios. The PD-50 is equipped with a pair of transformers for both digital and analog circuits and also the patented Hi-bit DSP (32bit) to help achieve the most accurate sound reproduction. For users who would like to take advantage of the PD-50's extremely high D/A quality, you can connect compatible, optical or coaxial outputs of another device to the player's digital input.
