It also plays the Direct Stream Digital (DSD) format used on Super Audio CDs with a sampling frequency of up to 5.6MHz. Pioneer has gained years of experience in recovering lost components of the signal, and so has produced the Advanced Sound Retriever. Older compressed recordings suddenly sound surprisingly fresh and natural. You can also use your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth.
