Efficient multitasking operation

The foundation of the system is the economical Intel Celeron quad-core 1.6GHz processor made with 14nm technology. When required, for example during intensive tasks, the processor's speed will increase to up to 2.08GHz in order to smoothly overcome any fluctuations. The processor works with state-of-the-art DDR3L SO-DIMM memory which is known for its use in notebooks. Network performance is managed by a pair of Gigabit Ethernet interfaces that can be used in the "merger" port and reach speeds of 2Gb/s. The disk controller supports RAID 1.0 and JBOD with AES-NI hardware encryption at a speed up to 224MB/s, both for the entire NAS volume and shared folders. This improves system performance and security.

The QTS-Linux dual systems in the device are based upon QNAP's advanced virtualization technologies. The revolutionary architecture enables users to not only download numerous applications from the QTS App Center but also to develop or utilise of IoT packages for Linux and display them using HDMI output.
