Effective multi-tasking operation

The heart of the system is a quad-core 1.5GHz Intel Celeron processor, made with 14nm manufacturing technology. Its clock speed automatically rises to up to 2.3GHz under heavy load, so it can easily offset any performance fluctuations. The processor is backed by efficient 4GB DDR3L system memory with the SO-DIMM design known from laptops. Two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces handle network performance and can be used in the so-called “port merge” mode. The disk controller supports RAID and JBOD technologies with AES-NI hardware encryption for up to 225MB/s, for both NAS and shared folders. This improves system performance and security.

Dual QTS-Linux systems on this device use modern QNAP virtualisation technology. The advanced architecture allows you to download many applications from QTS App Centre as well as develop or use IoT packages for Linux and view them through HDMI output.
