The heart of the system is the economical quad-core Intel Celeron processor with 1.6 GHz, made by 14nm technology. If necessary for example in peak conditions, the value increases up to 2.08 GHz, thanks to which you can smoothly override any fluctuations. Also, the processor works with the energy-saving DDR3L RAM for advanced performance in the SO-DIMM known from notebooks. And the network performance is enabled by a pair of Gigabit Ethernet interfaces that can be used in the "merge" ports to achieve a speed of 2 Gb/s. The Disk Controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 and JBOD technologies with AES-NI hardware encryption at up to 420 MB/s, for both NAS and shared folders. This improves system performance and security.

The dual QTS-Linux systems on this device use QNAP advanced virtualization technologies. And the advanced architecture allows you to download many applications from QTS App Center as well as development or use of IoT packages for Linux and their display through the HDMI output. You can connect the keyboard, mouse, and HDMI monitor to the TS-853A Linux station and use it as if you were working on your PC. Also, it can be run as a remote desktop for instant management through a web browser.
