The ENERMAX Platimax has pushed the possibilites of DC optimization to the absolute limit, but that wasn't the end of the line. Since the DC circuit was already at the top of its game, the Enermax engineers changed their focus to developing a more efficient transformer. Thus, the "Dynamic Hybrid Transformer Topology" layout was created, which can be divided into three main parts.
First - Resonant dynamic transformer array
Using LCD monitors, this is based on a highly efficient resonant topology. The most noticeable change is the added PCB resonant choke.
Second - Dynamic voltage increase transformation
First, the capacitors are wall-charged by alternating current (AC) which ensures a continuous supply of the AC DC power transformers by PC. From there, capacitors are charged statically, so there are no excessive losses. Enermax series capacitors are charged by Revolution87+ dynamic voltage - depending on the desired system performance. With these resources Enermax has significantly increased its effectiveness.
Third - Dynamic frequency transformation
Transformers optimize alternating current up or down. During this time you will lose some power. Enermax managed to optimize this process using dynamic frequencies. Transformers operate with a wider frequency range in accordance with the variable consumption of system components. Witih this, Enermax has significantly reduced their energy loss.
The ENERMAX Platimax uses modular cabling . There is plenty of room for cables to be neatly organized according to each computer's setup. This allows you to eliminate clutter and optimize airflow. This is undoubtedly the design of the future, which includes 10/12 pin connectors for more energy-intesive hook-ups.
In addition to Enermax Platimax's incredible performance is its peak efficiency, which ranges from 90-95% within a 230V network. It also requires no minimum order, so it is a great tool for a variety of hybrid CPU/GPU set-ups. With an improved and highly efficient 5V standby (+5 VSB) circuit, in combination with ErP/EuP Lot 6 motherboard, it achieves less than 1W of consumption in standby mode. A 13.9cm, long lasting fan with patented Twister Bearing Technology performs efficient and ultra quiet cooling . Due to high efficiency and the subsequent minimal amount of waste heat, the fan often spins very slowly, providing a near silent service.
The Platimax includes a foursome of 12 branches of power with a maximum individual load current of 30A and a combined total capacity of 7A, with absolutely minimal ripple. The Enermax Platimax is simply a premium source, as evidenced, for example, that despite the ostensible maximum power of 850W, it is also capable of 930W power in increments of 60 seconds. Also included is a complete set of Japanese electrolytic capacitors, which are able to operate at up to 105°C ambient temperature.
Among the additional features is SpeedGuard, which controls the fan speed to ensure optimal cooling and minimal noise. HeatGuard, which spins the fan 30 to 60 seconds after turning off the computer to prolong component life. CordGuard prevents the power cord from unintentional removal, for example when cleaning. And lastly, SafeGuard includes a broad set of protections against fluctuations and surges in the network.
