Its wooden part is covered with composite material, which also greatly absorbs unevenness. Salomon ES / MAX W 6 with maximum edge grip

For even better grip and precision, the Salomon ES / MAX W 6 features Single TI laminates. One layer of titanium at the top of the core thus increases torsional stiffness and thus the performance of the skis. A thin layer of rubber between the edge and the side of the Pulse Pad dampens vibration, ensures smooth ride and better snow contact. The integrated Edge Amplifier then transmits vertical energy more efficiently to the edges of the ski for maximum edge grip even on icy surfaces, while facilitating arc passage.
