The Sandisk Professional G-Drive 12TB external drive is designed for creative professionals to manage and back up large volumes of data. Inside is an enterprise-class 12TB Ultrastar hard drive that handles high-bitrate file processing. The USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface transfers data at 250MB/s for both reading and writing, reducing delays when accessing files. The drive comes pre-formatted with APFS and is ready for macOS 11 and newer.

Performance

Inside is an enterprise-class Ultrastar hard drive that handles demanding workloads and continuous operation. With a speed of 7200rpm and transfer speeds of up to 250MB/s, it reduces the time it takes to back up and copy bulky files, such as 4K and 8K projects. The USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface with 10Gb/s throughput speeds up access to content and supports direct editing of data from the drive.

Durable and stackable casing

The anodised aluminium casing dissipates heat from the internal drive and maintains a stable operating temperature, even under long-term load. The solid aluminium construction protects the drive from physical damage. The shape of the casing allows multiple units to be stacked securely, simplifying the organisation of your data archive and saving space in the workplace.

Physical mounting and compatibility

The casing has two anchor points on each side, making it easy to integrate into professional setups. Use these mounting points to attach the drive to DIT carts, mounting plates or other equipment. Mounting stabilises the drive during transport and when working in the field. The drive is pre-formatted with the APFS file system and is ready for macOS 11 and newer; use with Windows 10+ requires reformatting.
