By default, children are introduced to the basics of programming in elementary school, but with the game Scottie Go! Basic ENG can start in kindergarten without being able to read. The concept of the game is specially created for preschool children from 4 years, in which it helps to develop analytical and logical thinking, accurate presentation of thoughts and ideas, mathematical reasoning, teamwork under the supervision of a teacher, creating your own game elements and much more. Scottie Go! Basic ENG also helps to understand basic programming concepts such as loops, conditions, variables or functions. Compared to the standard version of Scottie Go! EDU tasks are not represented by text, but by pictograms.
The main hero of the game Scottie Go! Basic ENG is a nice alien - Scottie, whose ship crashes on the planet Earth in an accident. The children' s task is to program Scottie' s movements during the game to help him get spare parts for his spaceship.
Scottie Go! Basic improves analytical skills and logical thinking
Develops algorithmic intuition
They learn to solve complex problems and help improve group work
It supports the development of competencies in teaching programming
The main advantage of Scottie Go! Basic is the ability to create, complete tasks and program the protagonist without the need for constant use of digital devices. Children complete individual tasks with the help of programming blocks and cards. Every task should be completed, which means that children must analyze it, come up with a solution and put together the right program - instructions for Scottie. Scottie Go! Basic ENG ENG can be played in three different levels:
Although it is not necessary to use a tablet or mobile phone to play, it is still advisable to use it from time to time, as it can help you explain to children how compound programs work. Part of Scottie Go! Basic ENG is also the license key for accessing the first 24 tasks from Scottie Go! Edu, which is available for Android and iOS. And how does it work? Just install the application, arrange the blocks in the correct sequence, which you can then take a picture of. Scottie then executes the instructions from the scanned coding blocks on the device screen. If the program was composed correctly, the application will award the player 3 stars and allow him to move on to the next task. If something is wrong e. g. will not solve the task of the game Scottie Go! Basic ENG correctly or the program is shorter - it will be awarded only 1 or 2 stars, or it will be asked to complete the same task again.
