The Seagate Exos 15E900 300GB 512n SAS hard disk is one of the high load internal HDDs compatible with NAS data storage solutions. 2.5" HDDs are designed primarily for laptops, portable databanks and similar devices. You can look forward to a total data capacity of 300 GB. The drive features a 256 MB memory cache. All the data communication between the Seagate hard drive and other hardware is takes place via the SAS interface.

Other HDD Features
Platter HDDs have a special construction. Inside the drive there is a mechanism that utilises moving platters, complete with hard disk heads that read and write the data. These mechanical parts are admittedly more sensitive to shocks, but at the same time you get its amazing price/capacity ratio. The crucial criterion that determines the speed of a hard disk is RPM - the number of revolutions per minute. With the Seagate Exos 15E900 300GB 512n SAS, we have 15000 RPM RPM. File access speed and stability is also significantly affected by the disk buffer - the so-called cache. The Seagate hard drive features a 256 MB cache that keeps the last written data for their prompt retrieval and reading.
Connecting the Seagate Hard Disk
If you want to install the Seagate Exos 15E900 300GB 512n SAS in your computer or other device, it must have a 2.5" slot. Data sharing is done via the SAS interface with a standard speed of 12.0 Gbit/s. This solution is not particularly widespread, however.
