The Seagate Exos 7E8 8TB Base FastFormat SAS hard disk belongs among the high load internal HDDs for NAS storage solutions. The 3.5" format is designed primarily for desktop PCs and data centres. One of the main parameters is undoubtedly the rotational speed. The 7200 RPM RPM provides improved performance and data speeds. You can look forward to a total data capacity of 8000 GB. The drive uses a 256 MB memory cache. The data transfer between the Seagate hard disk and the PC or other devices is facilitated using the SAS interface.

Other Hard Drive Features
Platter HDDs have a special construction. Inside the enclosure there is a mechanism with moving platters accompanied by hard disk heads that read and write the data. File access speed and stability is also impacted by the disk buffer - the so-called cache. The Seagate platter drive features a 256 MB cache that stores the last used data for their prompt retrieval and reading.
Connecting the Seagate Hard Disk
In order to mount the Seagate Exos 7E8 8TB Base FastFormat SAS in your computer or other device, it must have a 3.5" slot. Data sharing happens via the SAS interface with a speed of 12.0 Gbit/s. This solution is not particularly widespread, however.
