The Seagate Exos X16 14TB Standard SAS hard disk is one of the high load internal HDDs for NAS and ordinary data centres. 3.5" HDDs are designed mainly for desktop PCs, data centres, and other data-processing devices. One of the key characteristics is undoubtedly the number of revolutions per minute (RPM). The 7200 RPM RPM ensures improved system performance and faster data transfer. The hard disk provides a storage capacity of 14000 GB. The drive features a 256 MB memory cache. All the data communication between the Seagate hard disk and the PC or other devices takes place via the SAS interface.

Other Hard Drive Features
The HDD boasts a unique design. Inside the drive there is a mechanism with moving platters, complete with hard disk heads that read and write the data. These moving parts can be damaged by a shock or impact, but at the same time you get an affordable price tag and high storage capacity. The crucial criterion that affects the speed of a platter hard disk is RPM - the number of revolutions per minute. In case of the Seagate Exos X16 14TB Standard SAS, you get 7200 RPM RPM. This is welcome news for people with higher requirements, for example video editors, graphic artists, people who play PC games, and everybody else who deal with large amounts of data. File access speed and overall stability is also affected by the disk buffer, usually called cache. The Seagate hard drive features a 256 MB cache that stores the last data inputs for their prompt retrieval and reading.
Connecting the Seagate Hard Disk
If you want to install the Seagate Exos X16 14TB Standard SAS in your PC or other device, it must be equipped with a 3.5" slot. Data transfer happens using the SAS interface with a standard speed of 12.0 Gbit/s. This solution is not particularly widespread, however.
