Instant capacity boost
The drive is ready to use as soon as you connect the power adapter and USB cable. Windows, macOS and ChromeOS operating systems automatically recognise the device without needing to install any drivers. This plug-and-play principle eliminates any complex configuration. You can start moving files immediately and free up valuable space on your computer's internal storage.
Fast transfers
The USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface supports fast data transfers, which shortens the waiting time when copying large files and makes managing backups more efficient. Files are transferred by simply dragging and dropping them from one folder to another. The drive is compatible with Windows and macOS operating systems, although it requires reformatting for full functionality with Time Machine.
Data protection for your external drive
The package includes Rescue Data Recovery Services for data retrieval. This plan helps defend against data loss and the cost of recovery from unexpected events like water damage or mechanical failure. Experts in Seagate's labs will attempt to rescue your files. The drive works with Windows, macOS and also ChromeOS.
