Key features
All cables can be disconnected
Protection of connected components when power is fluctuating
Noticeably quieter operation, depending on the system's load
Verified performance
80 Plus Gold series has a certification with 90% efficiency, on the market. It won't break down when working with conventional processors, and even the most powerful assemblies. The source is equipped with a low-speed cooling fan for quiet efficiency, fluid dynamic bearings for smooth operation, and a hybrid remote for flexible control of both and maximum efficiency.
Clearly specifies the maximum computing power performance in watts (W). The most common values include 400 W but some gaming computers have a 1000 W or more.
The physical dimensions of the source determine its next deployment. For classical computers there is the type ATX, but some miniature cases require a source with smaller dimensions (TFX).
This is a list of other functional equipment of the resource. Desired parameters are primarily detachable cables, thermal fan speed control or completely passive cooling.
80 Plus certification program focuses on the selection of power saving resources. According to the results obtained with different load, the source gets awards - Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Titan...
Each motherboard needs to be powered directly from the source. This item specifies the exact type of used connectors. The most common combination is ATX 24-pin ATX + 4-pin.
