Construction of SELA cajons

The cajon, translated from Spanish as crate or chest, is a percussion instrument that can imitate the sound of both a bass drum and a small drum. It is a wooden box with a sound hole and tuning strings stretched inside. The cajon is hand drummed and the resulting sound depends not only on the tuning of the strings, but also on the location and strength of the strike and whether you use your palm, the bellies of your fingers or your fingernails.
