Stellar optical performance

The lens uses entirely new optical design and premium components based on thorough testing . This brings a new era of artistic rendering without the "cuts" caused by the optical assembly. The lens therefore contains 2 FLD (fluorite) elements and two special glass FLD lenses, due to which it boasts a high level of anomalous particle suppression and a high refractive index to achieve the highest performance class.

Modern HSM engine with adjustable options

It also features a Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) focusing drive. It has a high torque, which helps to accelerate faster auto focus. Via USB Sigma (not included), you can upgrade the firmware, but also adjust the focus settings or positions. If you want to add a blurred background to highlight a person or subject, the 9-ring curtain creates a beautiful bokeh effect.
