SIGMA 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC MACRO HSM Pentax
A universal lens for digital SLR cameras with sensors sized APS-C and smaller. It is perfectly compact and therefore also suitable for frequent travellers. The lens is made of a composite that is resistant to temperature fluctuations. This is a feature that you will appreciate especially on holidays. In comparison to its predecessor, this lens has better capabilities in Macro mode.

A fine-tuned system
Optimized lens performance is achieved by incorporating double-sided aspherical lenses, and fine-tuning to the most compact filter size possible. With an approximately 13x zoom performance and a filter with a 62mm diameter, your work with this lens will be comfortable to the maximum. The special, low scatter glass, together with three aspherical elements, is responsible for colour aberration correction.
Excellent design
The lens uses Super Multi-Layer Coating to effectively reduce reflections and shadow. The ultrasonic motor (HSM) ensures a quiet and fast autofocus, and the rounded, seven-blade diaphragm can help create a circular, out-of-focus blur. Another advantage is the brass bayonet which enhances rigidity and increases durability and accuracy.

Note:
1) When using a lens larger than APS-C, vignetting occurs, same as when used with 35mm SLR or APS film cameras.
2) If the body of the Pentax camera does not support HSM, auto focus will not work.
3) Optical stabilization (OS) is not available for Sony and Pentax cameras.
