This carefully manufactured telephoto lens from the world-renowned Japanese company Sigma is designed to be used as a wide zoom with a macro function. It is especially suitable for outdoor and portrait photography, and it can also be used for taking close-up photos. The optical stabilization contained in the body reduces the impact of camera movements on image sharpness. The autofocus is ensured by an ultrasonic micromotor, which is typically extremely fast and accurate, and also very quiet. In addition, it enables you to use the manual focus in autofocus mode.
The lens has a focal length of 18 to 250mm and an aperture of f/3.5-6.3. Amongst the lense's equipment, you'll find a convenient macrophotography switch which increases the effectivity of autofocus mode. This model is designed only for digital SLR cameras with a compatible bayonet. The package also includes a removable sun shade.
