Vynikající objektiv pro digitální zrcadlovky s čipem formátu Nikon DX (APS-C) určený náročnějším fotografům. Skvělá ostrost, bokeh a na zoom objektiv i naprosto jedinečná světelnost f/1,8. Objektiv je také vybaven rychlým a zcela tichým ostřícím motorem. Celkově je také objektiv velmi robustní, odolný a vybavený kovovým bajonetem a sluneční clonou v ceně. Bonusem je pak plná záruka 4 roky.

Daní za takto vysokou světelnost jsou zejména větší rozměry i hmotnost.
