It is perfectly compatible with A-mount cameras (Alpha series cameras). With its minimum focusing distance of 25cm and 0.34× zoom ratio, it is especially useful for taking pictures of landscape, portraits and more. The brightness of this lens is a very solid F/3.5, so you'll get good shots even in low light. The focal length of the lens from the focal point is variable 18-55mm (Full-Frame sensor) and 27-82.5mm (APS-C sensor) respectively. This ensures that the photos taken will feel natural to the human eye. With a light weight of just 222g, it ensures that you can stabilise the camera during a photo shoot and capture excellent images with little effort.
Exceptional technology
To achieve the best image quality possible, this lens uses aspherical lens elements. These are complemented by high-performance ED glass elements to reduce distortion and chromatic aberration.This gives you a clear and sharp image. The SAM (Smooth Autofocus Motor) drive ensures fast and smooth auto-focus. Finally, an integral part of the lens is a circular aperture, providing a beautiful bokeh effect.

Sony Corporation is a Japanese company founded in 1946. Its headquarters is located in Tokyo. Its beginnings were humble. The first product sold under the Sony brand was a transistor radio.
