SONY 50mm f/2.8 Macro

The SONY family is now introducing this high-quality lens perfectly suited for cameras with Full-Frame or APS-C sensors. The lens is compatible with A-mount (Alpha-series) cameras. With its minimum focus distance of 20cm and 1.0× magnification ratio, it is mainly ideal for taking macro pictures, such as those featuring insects or flowers. However, it can likewise capture objects from a medium distance very effectively, even in motion. The maximum aperture of the lens is an impressive F/2.8. The lens provides a stable focal length of 50mm (Full-Frame sensor) and 75mm (APS-C sensor), respectively, assuring that the taken shots will always feel natural to the human eye. In addition, its minimal weight of only 295g will make it easier to be handheld in a stable position during shooting.
Exceptional Technology
To achieve the best possible image quality, this lens uses 7 lens elements (in 6 groups) made of high-quality optical glass to minimise distortion and chromatic aberration, providing for clean and sharp images. An integral part of the lens is a circular aperture to achieve a beautiful blur effect. You will also appreciate the in-built focus ring for rotation-free focusing.
