Sony 85mm F2.8
The SONY SAL85F28 is the first 'Easy Choice' lens ever to be used for full-frame digital SLRs, indicating the future direction and development of the series. The 85mm focal length gives you a completely natural perspective without any colour deformation or distortion and is ideally suited for portrait photography.
On cameras with smaller APS-C sensors, the same lens' focal length increases to 127.5mm (equivalent to a 35mm film). This gives you the ideal lens for general purpose mid-telephoto applications where you will appreciate the stunning optical composition and characteristics of Sonnar glass. The captured image will not only be perfectly sharp in the middle of the photo but also around the edges as well. In addition, it offers a smooth autofocus mode with a minimum focus distance of 0.6m, allowing for excellent corner to corner sharpness at any aperture.
The built-in technology of SAM (Smooth Autofocus Motor) ensures perfectly smooth AF operation. Also, you are sure to appreciate the F2.8 aperture when looking through the camera and viewing beautifully defocused backgrounds. In addition, the high-quality optical design of the lens and its clear, sharp corner to corner imaging make it a must-have for any professional photographer.
