This compact MS stereo electret condenser microphone is ideal for professional use. Incorporating new technologies allows excellent sensitivity, low self-noise and perfect frequency response. The most remarkable features of the Sony ECM-680s include the ability to switch between high-directional monaural mode, ideal for capturing, for example, voice and audio over a longer distance and stereo mode that provides natural surround sound. When selecting stereo mode, this will be indicated by the LED indicator.

Moreover, the microphone boasts of compact dimensions, low weight, which is a great prerequisite for use with a wide range of professional Sony camcorders. It uses Mid-Side (MS) technology that offers natural stereo sound. Equipped with newly developed large membranes with bi-directional properties. It also offers great sensitivity or extremely low noise, less than 20dB SPL.
