The Sony family of professional cameras has been expanded with a new lightweight compact model, the HXR-MC2500 which has an ergonomic design for comfortable shooting. This digital movie camera with an Exmor R CMOS sensor manages to record video in Full HD resolution (1920 × 1080) and boasts a high-resolution, low noise, and of course, excellent image quality, even in low light conditions.

Its highly-sensitive Exmor R CMOS sensor adopts a back-illuminated technology that enables the image sensor to utilise incidental light more efficiently, helping the videographer to achieve rich image quality even during low-light shooting situations.

You'll be amazed by what you can do with this professional shoot camera from Sony. Sony HXR-MC2500 offers a step-change in imaging performance while support for multiple recording format capabilities, including AVCHD and DV file-based recording, delivers exceptional flexibility for all today’s Full HD workflows. A 32GB internal flash memory enables longer duration recording of more than 150 minutes. In addition, by using a combination of the internal flash memory and memory card in the MS/SD slot, recording functions such as “Relay” and “Simultaneous” for backup can be available. Video can be recorded simultaneously and continuously on two SD / SDHC / SDXC cards for which the camera has two slots.  Every good camera should be able to go to unimaginable places and shoot from all sorts of angles, allowing you to shoot out of hand. You can customise the viewfinder to meet your specific requirements while filming. If your viewfinder will not suffice, you can use the 3" display.  Moreover, the HXR-MC2500 is also equipped with a convenient built-in LED light at 200 lux/1m for valuable extra illumination when needed.

Quality Lens for True Filming

The camera also features a 12x zoom lens and a wide-angle lens. The HXR-MC2500 can connect to mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets via a Wi-Fi connection, enabling monitoring and remote control functions such as start/stop recording, zoom control, iris control and touch auto focus. Furthermore, it is also NFC-capable (Near Field Communications) to allow easy, one-touch wireless connections to compatible mobile devices.
