The SONY line of premium lenses has been expanded with the Planar T 50, which uses an active layer T* to suppresses false echoes and perfectly fits bayonet A (Alpha-series cameras). With its minimum focus distance of 45cm and 0.14× magnification ratio, this lens is especially useful for portraits and nature photography. The maximum aperture of this lens is very respectable F/1.4, so you get high-quality images even in dim light. The lens distance from the focal point is a stable 50mm (Full-Frame Sensor) or 75mm (APS-C Sensor). This ensures that images appear natural to the human eye. Thanks to its low weight of 518g, it will be easier for you to keep the camera.

Exceptional technology

For maximum image quality, this lens employs 8 members and surfaces. SSM (Super Sonic wave Motor) is used for very quiet autofocus. An integral part of the lens is a circular aperture for a beautiful defocused effect.
