Ohnisková vzdálenost se pohybuje mezi 18 - 55 mm. Při pořizování vašich nejlepších snímků oceníte také jemné a tiché automatické ostření s pohonem SAM (Smooth Autofocus Motor). S komfortnějším mechanismem zoomu je komponování záběrů snadné a nerušivé. Díky širokoúhlému provedení a velmi kvalitní šasi jde o objektiv ideální na cesty, kde bude vaším všestranným pomocníkem. Dva asférické členy zajišťují vždy mimořádný kontrast a ostrost. Díky rychlému automatickému ostření a nastavení clony jde také o ideálního společníka pro filmování v HD kvalitě. Clona je provedena v kruhu a je osazena 7 lamelami, což umožní nádherné efekty rozostření. K dispozici je také manuální ostření pomocí neotáčivého kroužku.
