The SONY family is now introducing this high-end lens with the ZEISS® Tessar technology and the T* coating, designed to eliminate lens flare, internal reflection and light distortion. The lens is primarily compatible with APS-C sensor cameras with the A-mount (the Alpha series). Its minimum focus distance of 28cm and 0.24× magnification ratio make it ideal for portraits or landscapes. Its maximum aperture is F/2.8, enabling to obtain high-quality images even in low-light conditions. The lens provides a focal length of 16-35mm (Full-Frame) and 24-52.5mm (APS-C), assuring that all shots appear natural to the human eye. 

Exceptional Technology

To achieve the best image quality possible, this lens uses 3 aspherical lens elements, one ED glass element and one element made of the Super ED Glass which, compensates chromatic aberrations far better. The improved SSM II (SuperSonic wave Motor) provides silent focus.
