Garmin Edge 520

The development of the new and improved sequel to the popular Garmin Edge 500 series has put the emphasis on minimal weight and the largest colour display. Since it has been developed as a race bike, you will find a number of first-class features. Integrated for the first time are VO2max (maximum oxygen utilization), analysis of individual heart segments and the ability to compete with other cyclists through the EASY tool.

Train with Edge

Do you need motivation? Train against the best, your friends or your personal trainer. Just set your target and Edge 520 will take you there. The information in the display is clearly arranged and switching is simple using the buttons. Connect the Edge 520 to a power meter to see the FTP (Wattage Performance) and Watts/Kilogram ratio, so you get the results right away. One huge advantage is the heart rate recovery period indicator, so you know exactly when to go back to it!

Connect to your Smartphone

The Garmin 520 Edge features a colour screen with a 200×265 pixel resolution and faithful colour rendering in all weather conditions. When connected to a smartphone, alerts (SMS, calls and emails), livetracking, or training data will be available so you can share your routes. At the same time, it is compatible with the newly introduced Garmin Varia bicycle radar and adaptive cycling light. The battery lasts up to 15 hours, and is easily charged through the micro USB connector.
