Garmin vívofit Junior2 The Resistance

The Garmin Vivofit Junior 2, The Resistance, is a smart bracelet for kids, which includes an exciting Star Wars theme. The bracelet has several different features that both children and parents are sure to appreciate. It shows children how much physical activity they have done throughout the day; it counts how many steps the children complete each day; and how many minutes they spend in intense, healthy exercise. At the same time, it is useful for parents, allowing them to assign their children tasks. Assignments can be set with an alarm. The Garmin bracelet will beep, at the appropriate time, then the selected picture and text appear, telling the child that it's time to do their homework or to brush their teeth.

Apply the Garmin Wristband to the Junior 2, The Resistance

The full-featured Garmin Vivofit Junior 2 wristband comes with a free mobile phone application, that can be downloaded and installed on your Android and iOS phones. The app, controlled by the parent, creates a virtual family, to which each member of the family can connect. They connect via their Garmin devices, allowing them to compare results. Each child can create a profile in the app, including their name, their photo or a picture, which will then be displayed on the bracelet. The bracelet can be synced with the phone through a wireless Bluetooth connection. When all these steps are completed, the bracelet is fully activated, syncing with their parent's phone whenever it is within range.

Steps, active minutes and sleep

The Garmin Vivofit Bracelet works as a pedometer, counting how many steps your kids have taken per day, comparing them to other family members. It also tracks how many minutes children spend exercising and achieving goals. Parents can view a timeline graph on their mobile, which provides an overview of when their children are the most or least active. If a child sleeps with the tracker on their wrist, parents can monitor the length and quality of their sleep. It records - time spent in deep sleep, light sleep, or nighttime activity (when the child wakes up from sleeping and cannot sleep).

Tasks and rewards

Another beneficial function of the Garmin Junior 2 wristband is the ability for parents to use it when assigning duties and giving rewards. Parents can choose one of the many pre-set tasks in the app, or they can create and name their own. It can be, for example, cleaning up toys, assisting in the kitchen, practising their musical instrument, and so on. It also has the option of how often children have to fulfil their duties; every day, only on weekends, on selected days, etc. Optionally, you can also set the Garmin bracelet's alarm to remind children, by alerting you with a text, that it's time to feed a hamster, write a school assignment or clean your teeth and go to bed.
