Shimano Rod Aero X1A Carp Feeder 3,3 m 70 g

The Shimano Aero X1A feeder rod is designed for catching carp and whitefish at short to medium distances. It's built on a full carbon blank, which combines casting power with the sensitivity needed to detect bites. With a total length of 3.3 metres and a casting weight of up to 70 grams, this model is ideal for use with medium-weight feeders. The rod is fitted with Shimano Hardlite guides and a DPS-type reel seat.

Carbon blank for precise casting

The core of the rod is a full carbon blank, which gives it a fast and responsive action. This action allows for precise casting of feeders to your desired spot, while also providing enough power to handle larger fish. With a casting weight of up to 70 grams, the rod can handle medium-weight feeders and is suitable for most situations on still or slow-moving waters. The blank's sensitivity also helps in detecting even the most subtle of bites.

Shimano components and handle

The rod is equipped with Shimano components. Shimano Hardlite guides minimise friction and are suitable for use with both monofilament lines and braided mainlines. The DPS-type reel seat ensures the reel is held securely without any unwanted movement during casting or playing fish. The handle is made from EVA foam, which maintains its grip even when wet.

Two tips and construction

The package includes two interchangeable tips with different stiffness ratings. The tips let you adapt the rod's sensitivity to the current conditions at the water and the fish's activity. You'll appreciate the softer tip when fishing for cautious fish. The stiffer option is better suited for stronger currents or for detecting more aggressive bites. The rod consists of two main sections and has a transport length of 1.71 metres.
